When I drive down the highway I get slight vibrations and wobble and my acceleration is not consistent. When I hit the gas it seems to subside and then when I let off the gas it's back. There's no obvious sounds associated with it that I can tell it just feels like something is loose. Is my CV axle supposed to be tight or is there supposed to be a little bit of play left to right?

Hi,
The idea that you feel it on acceleration leads me to believe it could be a control arm issue, a ball joint, or stabilizer issue. It could even be related to the subframe bushings.

I attached an exploded view of the front suspension. Check the items I highlighted for play. As far as the CV joint, it has to have a small amount of in and out play.

Can you tell me the condition of the tires? Are they in good condition, the original size along with the wheels on the vehicle. Are they original as well?

The vehicle came with a 6 year 72,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. You may want to have it looked at by a dealer.

Let me know.

Joe
