Car door sensor how to replace or disable alarm?

I have a Santa Fe 2004 which has an alarm going off for the door being open but they are not, started when I entered the driver side so that is the sensor that is not working. Is there a way to disconnect the alarm until I get the sensor repaired?

Check the door switch. Try manually pressing the switch to test if the door ajar indicator shows otherwise. The door could be misaligned or a cover for the switch is missing/torn.
