Car doest Move above 60mph but I may be wrong just got the car

Hi I have a vw passatt 1.9tdi s with 90k on clock its a 56 reg 2006 on the motorway I do 80 85mph it goes just under 3000revs is this normal? Also when taking off and building speed what do you recommend for me to do what speed to pick speed and gears really appreciate the feedback

The TDi's have the most amount of torque at around the 1200 - 2200 rpm range. So shifting at any point after 2200 is just fine.

Your rpm / mph is not something you can change on a standard transmission, unless you physically change the gears inside the transmission.
