Security light started flashing and then next day car did not turn over. Turn ignition and it does nothing. Radio, lights, and dummy bell work, but the car does not turn on. I have changed the ignition switch and still nothing. Mechanic says it is the computer. Is there something else I can check before I buy computer?

If the security light is flashing then the security system is engaged. Can you roll up the windows and exit the car. Then lock the car with the key on the drivers side, wait 20 minutes and unlock the door on the drivers side. If you have a spare ignition key use that one to try and start the car. If the security light is still flashing then you need to take it to the dealer so they can reprogram the security system
