Car was driving fine then suddenly quit running in an intersection. Car starts fine but will not idle without giving it gas. Battery checked out but he said voltage was bouncing all around when he checked the alternator. Check engine light is on and the code was keep alive low voltage?

Good afternoon,

Can I have the code number?

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/stall-at-idle

There is an idle air control motor that is responsible for maintaining the engine idle. It is a common failure for just this issue.

Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) solenoid electrical connector.
3. Remove the 2 bolts and the IAC solenoid.
To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure

Let's check the fuses under the hood. This guide can help with the fuse location below.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

So I Googled the code and saw a video with the same problem and it was a blown fuse under the hood. I checked the fuse and found it blown. Replaced and it idles fine. I appreciate your time and recommendations. Thank you
