Car does not want to start when it rains

Our car does not want to start when it is raining or there is moisture in the air. It sounds to me like it even backfires a little. It turns but will not start.

Check coils and new plug wires.

I am also having this issue. I replaced coil packs, changed plug wires, air filter, and had it in for a tune up. Dry everywhere under good cannot figure it out. But, same deal damp out will not start.

To me it sounds like the engine coolant temperature sensor is shorting when the engine is cold. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for where doing the job:
