There are no codes or check engine light showing up. It also starts back up after about 10 seconds after it shuts off. It doesn't shake or stall when it shuts off. it just completely turns off as if it was turned off normally. I thought it was the camshaft sensor because when I tapped on it the engine wanted to shut off, but I changed it and now the car doesn't want to shut off when I tap it, but the car still shuts off randomly. I think it might be the fuel pump. Any help or diagnostic procedure will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

What you described sounds like a faulty crankshaft position sensor. When they begin to fail, heat adversely affects them. By design, the sensor may or may not set a code/check engine light.

Do me a favor. Take a look through this link and let me know if it mirrors what you experience:

As far as the fuel pump is concerned, usually when they fail, it isn't like turning the key off. Usually, you will notice a power loss the harder you press on the throttle. However, I'm going to attach a link that explains how to test fuel pressure. I'm not saying it isn't the cause, but it just doesn't sound like it is.

Let me know.
