When a/c is on while stopped car jerks and will shut off, if car is moving everything is fine. What does this mean? Tune up? Why does it die? How much is a tune up normally? Someone please help, could this be caused by earlier starter issues?

The first things I would recommend you check are for vacuum leaks and check the idle air control (IAC). The IAC is responsible for maintaining the engine idle.

The IAC is located on the throttle body. It is what allows air to enter the engine so that it continues running at an idle. However, when the AC is on, it should bump the idle up to compensate for the additional load on the engine.
