I've had this car for about four months. I've had zero issues until about three weeks ago. One day my car wouldn't start; seemed like my battery had died. I popped the hood and the battery was three years old with corrosion on the terminals. I had the battery and terminals replaced. Everything was fine for a few days when randomly my car would just shut off. I would be driving down the road and my engine would just turn off. I would have to coast onto the shoulder and put my vehicle in park, and start it up again. Every time it would start up fine. The only time the check engine light came on was when the engine would shut off, my check engine light as well as several other dash lights would flash. Sometimes, my AC and lights would stay on, sometimes not. I hooked the car up to a mechanic's computer and it came back as no bad parts. I've had the battery and terminals re-looked at. No issues. Note that it does not happen Every time the car is rubbing. Some days it may be five or six times a day and then it won't happen for days.

Hi,

There are a number of things that could cause this. I attached a guide of things that we need to think about.

Not only does your engine use a crankshaft position sensor to determine engine position but it uses the cam sensors as well. If one of these fails it could cause the engine to shut off with no codes.

Unfortunately, each of these items in this guide will need to be monitored with a scan tool to determine the issue. Without a little more detail as to what is happening with them, it would just be a guess as to what the issue is.
