If rev engine it doesn’t shut off but if I let it idle it does.

It starts but it idles high and then shuts off

Hi,
This could be the result of a few things. An engine vacuum leak can cause it as well as low fuel pressure. These are two things you can check without providing more information to me. However, if we need to start checking the idle air control circuit, I will need to know the engine size. It should be either a 2.0L or a 2.5L four-cylinder.
