I was driving down the highway at approximately 55 MPH when I decided to pass the vehicle in front of me in the passing lane. When I got into the pasting lane and put my foot on the gas the engine shut off. I pulled over to the side of the highway and the vehicle will not start back up. Just makes a whining sound when I try to start it

Hi,

Can you record it cranking and upload it for me to hear? Based on your description, it sounds like a timing issue. If the timing chain jumped time, we may have a bigger issue. The engine is an interference engine.

If I could hear it cranking, I should be able to tell if that is the issue.

Let me know.
