The engine cranks but does not start?

cranks no start. Replace fuel pump. The car has spark, it did not jump timing. Has injector pulse. Cylinder compression 140. What is the problem?

So the engine has fuel, compression and spark but it wont run correct? Lets run the codes to see if any are stored, here is a guide to help. Do you have a security light flashing when the engine is cranking?

I have fuel, compression and spark. Security light not flashing. No codes present. Could it be the timing?

Yes, it could be timing, what was the average compression reading? Usually, the compression will be low if the cam timing is off.

Found VVT sprocket at the end intake and exhaust camshafts bad. I will take the car a Auto Tech. Thank you for the info.

Hmm, usually the engine will stills tart with the VCT going bad but you never know. Please let me know what happens.
