Car alarm not working

Does not work so cannot get into the car. I replaced battery, still does not work. Help, please!

Is it the factory alarm or aftermarket?

Factory, there is a GM part number on it. It also has that little fob thing that you cannot start the car with, goes into a little slot near the steering wheel.
