How to have cold air blowing from the car's A/C in hot weather?

(90-100 degrees+) My car A/C is decent, but could be better when idle in this hot weather.

It sounds like the refrigerant level might be low, I would use a garden hose and pressure wash the condenser and radiator core (fins) to remove dirt, then here is a video to show you how to check and add refrigerant:
