Broke my ignition lock cylinder it just turns?

Yes I broke my ignition lock cylinder it just turns when trying to start it I got a new lock cylinder I need good directions on how to do gears right in the ignition I put it and programmed the keys and thought it was going to start but when I turn the key it just stops at the key on position it doesn't have that spring feeling that you get when trying to start it

So the ignition switch lock has the spring action for the ignition switch which is different than the lock/tumbler. Here is the correct way to install the new switch and lock which it sounds like you need. Check out the images (below).
