My driver's side door is stuck closed. The AAA guy broke something inside of it when I had locked keys in car because the door handle stopped working correctly after having him help get locked keys out. I was planning on making them fix it, but I would have to pay out of pocket first and get reimbursed and don't have money for that. so, I was trying to replace myself, it got dark on me and then the next day when going out the entire thing fell apart. right now, I can't get the door to open at all. I will include pictures. I have reached in there trying to feel around of course pulled on green cable that goes to interior handle and I've tried with window up and down. at this point I'm extremely frustrated if someone could maybe provide a door diagram or just let me know how I can get it to open would be great. I'v been having to "dukes of hazard" it either out window or crawl out passenger's side. It's stuck in closed position. please see pics.

Yep, it is difficult when this happens. So, on the latch there is a release level which must be activated. The problem is the control cable that connects to the latch has been knocked off or the lock cable has been knocked off in the lock position. So, you will need to use a flashlight to see if the cables are connected at the latch and then activate the latch levers in the opposite directions. The cable might be connected to the latch but not do anything. Please check out the image below and get back to me. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.

Okay, I feel the switch on the inside of motor pick assembly and I tried pushing it up and down but nothing happens when I do so and when pulling the green cable which normal opens it from the inside it sounds and feels like it's doing something but it still does not open so maybe it came loose inside the lock assembly ,how do I remove that .yes I got myself in a pickle here. Also sorry for late response I just had my gallbladder taken out this morning so I'll probably take a few days to recover and then I'll try removing that I just was nervous about removing other items without know how it's supposed to go or if I can get it back in.

I am sorry to hear about the medical problem. I hope you have a smooth recovery. It seems like the latch is still locked. can you see the lock level cable on the latch? You might need a small mirror on a stick to see if the cable is still attached.

Thanks for reply I don't see anything attached to it anymore but it's still stuck in the closed position. I've been trying for days and as you can tell I'm just going to go ahead and post a very short video showing how the door is. It makes sound but nothing happens when you open when you pull the cable or push down the latch on the inside of the door. I don't know what's keeping it stuck closed

Thanks for the video. I see there is some damage to the latch like it was tried to be opened by force. This might have damaged the latch but to me it still seems like the latch is locked. Can you move the lock cable to hear the latch be unlocked and then locked again? If the latch is damaged and won't open the only other way is to cut the latch into pieces while inside the door, this is an extreme measure so I would really try to find the lock activation arm on the latch and work it back and forth while activating the latch opening arm. Please keep sending videos so I can help with each step. We can get it fixed it will just take some time.
