The car listed above is a Wagon. I cannot find the OBD1 port anywhere under the dash. Having seen photos and diagrams I know what it is supposed to look like, black, with 6 contacts in two rows. I have the original Chevrolet service manuals. Their diagram indicates it is supposed to be to the left of (or at least in the area of) the fuse panel. There is nothing under my dash that remotely resembles that connector.

You are correct that it should be under the dash. I am attaching info that you have probably seen.

If you are not finding it, then I suspect someone moved it to maybe under the hood. I have seen some people move them because they don't like working under the dash. So of the older people or larger people don't like too much climbing under the dash so they relocate them. I would look to see if there is a group of wiring that looks like it is headed out towards the engine bay and follow it.

If it is not there, can you get some pictures of the under dash and we will see if anything looks out of place or like it could be a clue?

I searched under the hood. No connector there and no evidence of anything having any alteration through the firewall. Enclosed are photos of under the dash. It's very difficult to take photos there.

So we need to start looking closer to the center of the dash and even on other passenger side of the center console. Looking at a Cadillac this is where they show the location. The manual for your vehicle doesn't show a location just says under the dash. So it has to be under there but clearly not where we expect it should be. ALDL is the actual term for this so that is what it is pointing too.
