Truck sat for five years and now will not take any gas in either tank. I dropped rear tank and there is a blue vent thing on top of tank. I do not know what it is called. I have a Chilton manual but cannot find where all vent lines go.

Hello,

Make sure none of the vent hoses are kinked or bent to where air cannot get through.

Here is a video on how to remove a fuel tank so you can see how the vent hoses go on a normal tank:

Below are some diagrams of how the lines should go our your truck.

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

Hey thanks so much for the info and schematics.I dropped the tanks and found one vent hose that possibly could have been pinched but nothing obvious. Put the back one back together again bolted her up and still would not take fuel. Dangedis thing I've ever seen. I had it towed to a shop I'll let you know what the outcome is. Thanks again so much for your time

That is weird its almost like the filler tube is collapsed down internally. Please let me know what they find.

Cheers, Ken
