Code P046, Canister Purge Valve issue?

Valve is available (OEM) for $80. I have worked on my own cars for more than 50 years (I'm 84). Picture of valve/solenoid is a rectangular box 3" x 2" 1" thick. I cannot locate it on my vehicle. Thought it would be close to a canister or air cleaner. Is this something that only can be changed at a garage? Called Ford dealership and they estimate $700, seems way out of line. Help!

Yep, that does seem expensive for the repair. Here are the locations of the purge valve which is under the hood and how to change it out, please clear the codes once the job is completed. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.

Thanks a lot. Appears it is under the air cleaner are nearby. Will continue to look. May have to find a young mechanic. My old fingers may not work. LOL
