can not move selector out of park

Motor runs smooth, i added brake fluid, it was low, lights seem ok, no rattles, wipers do not work,its been two day s since they stopped working there was noise coming from left wiper moter before failure. a/c works fine. roger

THEIR IS A SELENOID ON THE STEERING COL. WHEN YOU PUSH THE BRAKE U CAN SHIFT OUT OF PARK..DO U HEAR IT CLICKING WHEN U PUSH THE BRAKE?
