Can I use a new diesel fuel pump on a gas truck same year and motor?

The fuel pump went out I have another, but it is for diesel, same exact year and engine, but my truck is gas.

Hello,

Those pumps are different and not interchangeable.

Depending on the wheelbase the OEM part number for the gas fuel pump is
XL3Z9H307DB (120" wheelbase)
XL3Z9H307EB (139" wheelbase regular cab)
XL3Z9H307DB (139" wheelbase super cab)

And this is the OEM part number for the diesel F81Z9C407AC
