Can I still program the used replacement transmission?

Can I still program the used replacement transmission on the vehicle listed above without the VIN from a donor vehicle? Also, will it still work without it being programmed?

Yes You have to re program the TCM for it to learn the new transmissions characteristics.
Luckily on this car it's not inside the transmission it's under the dash. this car has a CVT transmission so yes you need to reprogram/ relearn the TCM to get the transmission to behave normally otherwise you have rough shifting and other problems car wont drive well and the transmission might not last too long if it wasn't done but once it's done should behave really well as designed..

That's what I suspected would I still be able to reprogram it without the donor cars VIN?
