I have a small crack in my radiator and was told I need a new one because they cannot be fixed. However, I have looked it up and found some people do fix them. So my question is do I really have to replace the radiator or is there a way to actually fix the crack?

Replace would be the better choice.

Radiator failure often leads to engine damage or replacement.

I understand the lack of fundage situation fully.

Maybe I can help there too!

See my link all the way to the bottom.

Things sometimes change with time (usually there are other "Newer" routes)

Any questions or need help to get to the savings, let me know.

Keep us posted with your progress!

Also meant to say,

If someone could repair it (plastic stuff is hard to do),

You would have that expense, an "Iffy" radiator, and still own a thirteen year old radiator which may have mineral build up within it.

Here is the cost of a new one, see my link.
