Hi,
I just wanted to know if I can install a Fordpass Connect Modem in my 2019 Expedition XLT. My vehicle didn't come with it and I am getting conflicting information about whether or not it is a plug-in module that can simply be added to the truck or whether the truck was truly not made to use it.

If it CAN be added, does anyone know the part number and installation procedure? My truck does have Sync 3 installed.

Thanks!

Yes you can but you will need to replace the wiring harnesses and add the Telematics Control Unit (TCU): The TCU is the core component that enables FordPass Connect features. Then new programming will need to be done. Some TCUs require an external antenna for optimal connectivity. Depending on the TCU model, you might need to install a shark fin antenna or connect internal antennas. Let us know if you need anything else.
