I just replaced my camshaft sensor today. Then within a few hours the check engine light came back on. When the mechanic ran the test code the machine said it could not gather the data/ no fault. I was told by another mechanic that I needed to drive at least one hundred miles for the system to regulate to the new sensor. Is that true?

You need to clear the adaptation of the computer not just clear the codes. The computer will then relearn and you should be okay.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.
