Needing to replace both bank 1 and, bank 2 camshaft sensors. So far, after hours of searching Google and, the Tube, I have yet to find any clear answers or schematics for a 6 gen Legacy.

Hi,

If you look below, pic 1 shows an exploded view of the engine/sensors. Pic 2 is the legend for the picture.

There are a total of 4 cam sensors on this vehicle. Two are for each exhaust camshaft and the other two are for each intake camshaft.

Let me know if this helps. If you do need wiring schematics, let me know.

Take care,

joe

Hi,

Those appear to be the sensors. Have you had a chance to replace them?

Let me know.

Joe

Hello,

The camshaft position sensor is located on the left side if the engine near the front. Here is a guide and diagram to help you see how to do the job check out the diagrams below.

Diagnostic scan showed camshaft sensor & engine sensor faulty. Replaced both. However, when the aircon/heater button is pressed ON, the red warning light pops up and the engine runs differently.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

I would be doing a continuity 7 resistance check down the loom from these sensors to the ECU and check that the plugs (loom ) have not got loose or corroded pins, start here.
