Camshaft sensor correct had a broken exhaust cam

I too went down the rabbit whole replacing the camshaft sensors because of the error code. so, I decided while I had intake manifold off and everything out of the way, to change the plugs. When I got to the last one, I noticed the socket had oil on it. I removed the plug, and it was covered with oil! So, I searched this site for causes, one experience said it was the VCG (valve cover gasket). I removed the VCG and found that one of the camshafts was broken.
What should I do next? Do you have any diagrams on removal or suggestions?

Hi,

It looks as though you need to replace the camshaft. However, I'm questioning what has caused it to break. Before this problem presented itself, was there any noise or issues you noticed? Let me know.

As far as replacing the camshaft, it is somewhat of a big job because you first need to remove the timing chains. I will start with the removal of the chains that will lead to the camshaft replacement. Note: The chain directions include the removal and replacement procedure as well as the camshaft.
