Replaced the camshaft sensor because everything led to that being the problem, including when the sensor got hot, would have to wait for it to cool down before starting the car. Now after replacing, it starts but backfires and won't stay idling. Is there a reset that needs to be done besides the code reset? BTW, the code diagnosis was too much gas not enough air. Or do you suspect a different issue? The fuel pump has been replaced. The gas tank was emptied and cleaned. Air filter changed. Spark plugs replaced.
The thing which may have caused this whole issue is the previous owner had been putting gas that was taken from junk vehicles and used it in the vehicle. Also, the vehicle was rolled once but I don't have any details about that, only that it didn't have body damage. Any ideas would be helpful, or should I just scrap it and forget about it?
I attached receipt so you are able to see the exact part replaced.

This could be a faulty replacement sensor but let's start with what code you are actually getting before we go any further.

Basically, there are a number of different issues that can cause each code so if the sensor is replaced and still doing the same thing then we need to start with checking the system out to solve this.

This could be a PCM issue as well but just seeing if the CMP is getting hot is not definitive enough to ensure that is the cause of the issue.

So, let's start with the actual code and then we can go from there

Thanks

There's no code at the moment. It's not acting the same as it did before replacement. Before replacement, it started and ran until senor got hot. As time went on, it happened more frequently. Now after replacement it starts but backfires and keeps stalling out.

Okay. That means we can't rule out a sensor issue.

If the engine is backfiring and stalling that could be caused by a sensor issue.

So basically, if this is all new operating then I would return the sensor and replace it again. Then retest the operation.
