Check engine light on, Camshaft sensor

157 MILES • 4.0L • V6 • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

So my car has engine light has 157,000 miles and it saying camshaft position sensor bank 1, but when I go to shop to buy they say what side is it left or right. I don't know what it is. please reply.

Hi,

Telling them bank one should answer their question. LOL. Okay, if you are sitting in the vehicle, it is on the right side of the engine. It's located on the rear of the engine. (see pic 1 below)

If you are standing at the front of the vehicle, it is on the left.

In most cases, they determine left and right based on sitting in the vehicle, but you better ask them that as well.
