The camshaft position sensor for the V6 engine is located in the distributor housing (M). I have included i the images below the instructions for changing the distributor out. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

It's inside the distributor, item "M" in these drawings. The first drawing is as it appears in the service manual. In the second two, I cut them in half so I could enlarge them for you to make them easier to read.

Be aware diagnostic fault codes never say to replace a part or that one is defective. They only indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis. When a sensor or other part is referenced in a fault code, it is the cause of that code only about half of the time. First we have to rule out wiring and connector terminal problems, and mechanical problems associated with that part. Now that I shared that, there's better than a fifty percent chance a replacement distributor is needed. You are likely to be unable to find just the cam sensor. I've never heard of anyone replacing one. The standard repair is to replace the entire distributor.

Please let me know the exact fault code number, what kind of problem you're trying to solve and if the distributor takes care of it.
