Where is the camshaft position sensor located?

I can't seem to locate the camshaft position sensor. Help

Hi,

The camshaft position sensor isn't mounted on the engine. Actually, the sensor is located within the distributor and is comprised of a hall effect switch and a camshaft driven 6 bladed shutter plate. I attached a pic below showing the hall effect switch.

Let me know if that helps. Note, if you check at a parts store, they may refer to it as a pick-up coil/sensor.

I need help locating the camshaft position sensor. I asked this same question, but I got the liters wrong it's a 3.8 not a 3.6. V6. please help.
