Cranks will not start and Code P0011

Camshaft Position "A" Timing Over Advanced or System Performance Bank 1. I'm having trouble finding where the sensor is located. I already changed the oil and nothing happened. It cranks but wont turn on.

Good afternoon,

I found a TSB for this code for re program of the ECM.

I also attached the possible issues. The leading one being dirty oil passages.

with 3.6L V6 Engine (VIN 7 - RPO LY7)

Condition

Some customers may comment on a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Check Engine Light illuminated or Traction Control message with one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored:

P0011 - Intake Camshaft Position (CMP) System Performance Bank 1

P0014 - Exhaust Camshaft Position (CMP) System Performance Bank 1
P0021 - Intake Camshaft Position (CMP) System Performance Bank 2

P0024 - Exhaust Camshaft Position (CMP) System Performance Bank 2

Correction

If routine diagnosis using SI does not reveal any obvious cause reprogram the ECM using the latest calibration if the above concern is encountered. A revised engine calibration has been developed to address these issues. Reprogram the ECM with an updated software calibration. This new service calibration is available on TIS2WEB using the Service Programming System (SPS). As always make sure your Tech 2(R) is updated with the latest software version.
