Car just had motor replaced with rebuilt one. Before the original motor went bad it had a miss and the RPM's jumped did not throw a code though. Had a diagnostic computer put on it and it came up with cam sensor codes. That was before the new motor. The garage that replaced the motor was not the ones that ran diagnostics. They use the sensors off of the old motor and it is doing the same thing. Frustrated. Is it the cam position sensors bad?

Hello thank for using 2CarPros.

As a first step read fault codes and sends to us.

Yes, it is possible that camshaft sensor is defected. is the engine harness swapped from old engine? it might be the wiring also. these engines use four camshaft sensors. send us the fault code to help you to know which specific sensor is the problem .
Thank you.
