I had taken my vehicle off-roading and had gone through a puddle, water splashed over the hood from too fast of speed but never shut off until about thirty seconds after being out of the water. I replaced the oil and filter and air filter as well being that it was wet :( it ran but had noticed a loss of power. Recently the engine light came on and the vehicle is now randomly stalling and will idle roughly for a few seconds after startup. Is there a chance it is just a cam/crank shaft sensor that needs replacing? What are my next steps?

There may be water in one of the sensor plugs, dirty water when dried can case a resistance that can alter the signal output before we look any further. Did the engine ingest any water? You say the air cleaner was wet, how wet was it? Can you post the exact code set if you have deleted it many scanners will hold the codes in history for retrieval?
