Camshaft alignment sensor location

Engine light came on running rough, code says camshaft alignment sensor is bad. where do I find it at?

It is where the distributor once was the call it a synchronizer.

Here is a diagram of what it looks like (below).

I do not recall any special tool that you need except for a universal for the hold down bolt.
