What can be the reason for a camshaft not to rotate but the main-shaft pulley, the alternator pulley and power steering pump pulley rotates? This happened while I was trying to start the car and the engine was cranking.

Your belt or chain broke or gears broke off cam.

That is an interference engine so it will have bent valves. It is time to look for a new engine.
