So this just kinda started happening. I bought this car fairly recently and haven't put many miles on it, when I accelerate the car will shift into all the gears fine but when going from first to second the car bucks slightly and the rpm’s increase. It isn't smooth like my other car. Is my transmission ruined? I just replaced a head gasket on this thing.

Good afternoon,

It sounds like it is slipping in first gear.

I would start by changing the fluid and filter in case the filter is clogged.
