I was just reading the variable cam timing can do that and since if the alternator makes noise is a concern I suppose any noise can be, let me find out what I just read.

Okay, can you disconnect the plug and check the resistance of the sensor?

Great, let me know when you find it, because hopefully it is a multi-meter because the next test will be using the voltmeter.
Good news though it is really only 9 pages and we are done 2, step 8 of 26.
Do not get worried if later If I do not answer right away, I am going outside soon to start some body work on my car. I will check in from time to time, probably every twenty minutes or so.

It is a multi-meter. I am just not sure where it ended up. I will let you know as soon as I get my hands on it.

That is good, it should have been 250-1,000 ohms, so that 347 is within that.
Next step:
Disconnect the hardness connector at the PCM, so the crank sensor as no connection to it all.
Then using the DV voltmeter check short circuit to voltage on the harness side of the disconnected crank sensor dark blue/orange wire. If this wire is hot when the key is on run, engine off that find and repair the short, where the hot voltage from a positively charged wire is short circuited to this wire.
If there is no voltage present on this wire, like it should be then move onto step 10.
Let me know your answer and I will post step 10.
Here are 10 and 11. If you feel okay just having all the steps now then let me know which step you have a problem with or any, I can do that and most likely will anyhow.
12 and 13

Yeah. You can post the steps. If you would like. The more I am reading, I am wondering if the cam syncronizer did not go bad. It would explain a lot of the issues I am having but I am not sure if it would throw a separate code.

We both know that too much noise could cause that code, remember me asking you if the alternator was too loud. I assume they are close to eachother.
If you wan to just skip these steps and replace the cam synchronizer, go ahead. Is it making noise or anything thing else that you know to convince you is it bad?
Just in case he is 13-14.

It seems to have dropped oil pressure which is a major symptom of it being the syncronizer. At this point, I have to send it to my buddy's shop. I hate to admit defeat but it may be my best bet.

Just a follow up. We are at the shop trying to run down the issue but cannot seem to find a cam sychronizer diagram for this engine. Figured I owed you an update for all of your help.
