Cam sensor

I have a cam sensor that fails when it gets to a high temperature. I have replaced it but now the car will not even start. When I put the old sensor in it starts no problems. Faulty sensor or is there something I need to do when replacing a sensor?

i think that you may have a faulty sensor, just make sure that it is the same length and it fits in the same depth. the air gap may be too large to register a pulse.
