I have a 2006 STS V6, that since I picked up has been giving me problems with charging. Since purchased new, have had two batteries replaced…and still I see the same pattern. Had had to jump the car over 6 times and frankly just do not accept the response- “it’s normal as the car has electronics on all the time that drains the battery if not used.”
Viewing the battery status I keep seeing the status at different time going form 14.5V down to 12.4 V. Driving in highway at 75 mph, with NOTHING being used (no radio/heat…) the battery display jumps up/down…mostly down at 12.9V .
What should I expect to see on a regular bases? 14V?

Should not drop below 14.5V to keep battery up. Was ALT checked to be good? If car driven at least once a week that will keep BATT up.
