1999 Cadillac STS alternator

I need to replace the alternator in 1999 cadillac sts. What do I need to do to get it out?

This is a straight forward job. You may have some trouble with clearance, but that should be all. First, disconnect the battery. Next, remove the wiring from the rear of the alt. Now remove the belt. Finally, there are 2 or 3 bolts that hold the alt in place. Remove the bolts and the alt should come out. Reverse the sequence to replace it.
