1998 Cadillac STS V8 Automatic 160,00 miles

my car is showing on the dash low oil pressure but my car has oil in at the right oil gage level. what could that be?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch/sensor. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearing
