My head gasket went out and it is too expensive to let a mechanic install the Time Sert kit and gasket. My question is: Do I have to remove the engine to fix my northstar? If not then I'll try to fix it myself but if not then I'll dump the car.
Thanks

Yes, it is best to remove the powertrain to perform this. Earlier models it may have been possible, but on the 5th generation sevilles(98-) the engine compartment tightened up making it next to impossible.
