1996 Cadillac STS brake lights

my brake lights don't work right they work fine if my headlights are off but if there on the brake lights are on and don't turn off when i press on the brake pedal i changed the brake light switch but no luck please help this is my only vehicle.

Hi:
There is a short in the wiring. Do a general inspection of the wiring to see if you can find any broken or exposed wires. Somewhere the power to the parking lights seems to be getting in to the brake light wiring too.
