Hello,

Yes it is a major problem. What you are calling smoke is most likely steam from the engine overheating. You need to figure out what the problem is...

Here are a couple possibilities....

Fans Not coming on....

Stuck Thermostat....

Bad Water Pump...

Bad Radiator....

Blown Head Gasket....
