1995 Cadillac STS ac blower motor

having trouble with my ac--sometimes the i hear the blower motor but rarely!! when i adjust the temp by pushing up or down on the buttons to activate it--whether for ac or heat i just hear a faint sound but no air coming through. what do you think seems to be the problem? i checked fuses and they are ok. how can i access the blower motor--where is it located and what can i check on it???

the blower motor is on the firewall behind the center of the motor, to get it out you need to tip the motor forward or remove the coil assy and valve cover in the back
