What would it take for my car not to make as mush noise as its doing now? It seems like a rummbeling sound likes its knocking.

Sorry, but there's absolutely no way I can interpret a "mush" noise. As for a "rumbling" that sounds like a knock, your check engine light should come on if this is the case.

Have you considered the possibility of an exhaust leak???
