I was changing the right struck when to put in the two big bolts at the bottom of this strut could not get them to line up so I figured it was the axle keeping it from lining up so I pulled the axle what I thought was all the way out of the transmission need to get my car all way in the garage so it could be locked the car was on foor jack so I started the engine to move it forward three feet loud noise and then I can hear the transmission clicking real bad do you think I hurt my transmission or was it the end of the axle that was making all the noise I would appreciate any help that I can get and wana thank you for taking your time to answer this thank you very much

That sounds like the splines in the trans rubbing against the axle.I doubt it hurt the trans at all.May want to remove the axle to inspect the splines to be sure they can plug back into the trans
