Cadillac stalls and won't cut on

I was stopped at a red light and my car stalled and then cut off and now it won't turn over. I know I needed an oil change, could it have been low on oil?? Could my transmission have gone bad?? My car literally won't start and I have a new battery

won't start meaning it won't turnover? check oil first do you hear any clicking then try restting security system.
