1999 Cadillac SLS Gas and Truck swtich

Everytime I click the switch to open the gas flap or the truck it doesnt seem to be responding to open. Hoping you could give me some ideas of what repairs can be made

First and most common is to check the valet switch in the glove compartment, if it is on, it disables those functions.
